AAWGT Grant Application Closes

Anne Arundel Women Giving Together (AAWGT) is pleased to announce that in 2023 they will again be awarding grants that support their mission to improve the quality of life for women and families in Anne Arundel County. For the first time, this year AAWGT’s grant application is made available to nonprofits for early preview in PDFclick HERE. In addition, the entire grant process, from preview through application, is also available in Spanishclick HEREAAWGT hopes that this early look at its application is helpful in planning and encourages nonprofits to start now to think creatively about the needs they see and the solutions they believe work best in improving the quality of life for women and families in our county.

On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, AAWGT’s online grant portal will open so nonprofits can begin the actual online application process. The deadline for submission of all applications is Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:59 pm.

AAWGT is pleased to announce that they have increased the maximum dollar amount nonprofits may request in their proposals. Applications will now be accepted for requests between $5,000 and $25,000. AAWGT recognizes that the cost of doing business has gone up for everyone. All grant dollars awarded must be used to benefit Anne Arundel County residents.

AAWGT remains committed to helping women and families in Anne Arundel County address challenges that impact the quality of their lives. They continue to strive to embed the principles of DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility) and trust-based philanthropy within their organization and our grantmaking process – nonprofits will see these principles reflected in our application.

As in prior years, applying organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits (or have a fiscal sponsor that is), be registered with the Maryland Secretary of State, and in Good Standing with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation. (Please note the guidance provided in the application re: these numbers and start now to ensure the accuracy of your numbers!)

An informational workshop for all applicants will be held on January 12, 2023 on Zoom. Two identical sessions will be held at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. Nonprofits must register to receive the Zoom link. For the morning session, register HERE and for the afternoon session, please register HERE.
