2023 Celebration of Philanthropy

We are looking forward to having our registered guests join us tomorrow, November 17 for the 23rd Annual Celebration of Philanthropy Awards Luncheon at The HALL at Live!®, 7002 Arundel Mills Cir #7777, Hanover, MD 21076. The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; check-in is available starting at 10:45 a.m.

DAY OF INFORMATION

PARKING: Available right across from hotel entrance or in front of Burlington Coat Factory. The closest entrance is the Live! Hotel’s main entrance.

Garage parking is available in the free parking garage adjacent to the hotel. The garage has elevators to bring people to the ground floor. It is best to use the elevators closest to the entrance/exit end of the garage. From those elevators, The HALL is a short walk around the corner to the left.

ARRIVAL: After you park there are three entrances – the North entrance where the Prime Rib is located, the East entrance adjacent to the mall, and the South entrance where the hotel is located. Regardless of whether you self-park in the surface lots or in the parking garage, they are equidistant from the doors of The HALL space. Please see the map below or click here.

IMPORTANT! Guests under the age of 21 are NOT permitted on the Casino floor under any circumstances. If you or your guest is under the age of 21, please email Damika Baker-Wilson at damika@cfaac.org for further instructions. 

CHECK-IN: Upon arrival at The HALL, please visit our staff at the check-in table to pick up your name tag.

SEATING: Your seat for the luncheon has been assigned. You will find your table number on the back of your name tag. The seating map will be located on screens prior to entering The HALL. The doors to the luncheon will not open until 11:40 a.m.

CASH BAR: A cash bar is available for guests. The bar will be available from 11:00 to 11:40 a.m. and again during lunch service.

  • Young Volunteers of the Year: Indu Bodala, nominated by the Anne Arundel County Public Schools and Andrew Nolan, nominated by the Marshall Hope Corporation
  • Carroll H. Hynson, Jr. Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Philanthropy: Maurice B. Tosénominated by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, Inc.
  • Boots on the Ground Award: Peter Summers, nominated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Inc.
  • Carol Thompson Lifetime Achievement Award: Michael J. Ragland Sr., nominated by Langton Green
  • Legacy Award for Planned Giving: The Estate of Dr. Michael J. Kurtznominated by the Wellness House of Annapolis
  • Celebration of Philanthropy Award: Larry Clark, awarded by the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County 

CFAAC created the Professional Advisor Recognition Society to acknowledge professional advisors for their commitment to the community and their work to support philanthropy and encourage charitable giving across Anne Arundel County.

Honorees will be recognized at the Celebration of Philanthropy Awards Luncheon on November 17, 2023. The event, which will celebrate the commitment, passion, and leadership of Anne Arundel County’s most dedicated community members, will be held at the LIVE! Casino Hotel® Maryland in Hanover, MD. This event is expected to sell out, so please buy tickets and sponsorship early.
