COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES AWARDEES FOR THE 24th ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF PHILANTHROPY AWARDS
(Annapolis, MD, August 26, 2024) The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2024 Celebration of Philanthropy Awards.
A committee of past award recipients, CFAAC staff and board members selected the following seven awardees: Philanthropists of the Year Award: The Harris Family Foundation, nominated by Phyllis Adams; Corporate Philanthropist of the Year: Liff, Walsh & Simmons/Eagle Title, nominated by Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation; Volunteer of the Year: Taylor Pyles, nominated by The Blue Ribbon Project; Young Volunteer of the Year: Tara Chase, nominated by Happy Helpers for the Homeless; Boots on the Ground Award: Carolyn Gibbs, nominated by HOPE For All; Carol Thompson Lifetime Achievement Award: Vincent Omar Leggett, nominated by Blacks of the Chesapeake Foundation, Inc; and Legacy Award for Planned Giving: Ethel Groh Webster Williams Trust, nominated by Anne Arundel Community College Foundation, Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation, and University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
The awards will be presented on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11 am at LIVE! Casino Hotel® Maryland in Hanover, MD, during the Celebration of Philanthropy Awards Luncheon.
