Lawrence (Larry) B. Burrows currently serves as an Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for TriPointe Homes, a national homebuilder. Larry is a Senior Planning Fellow, a Professor of Practice, and the Ex-Officio Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University. He is also Treasurer of the nonprofit Chesapeake Multi-Cultural Resource Center.  

Previously, Larry served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company from 2008 to 2010 and as Senior Vice President of Wood Products from 2010 through 2013. Before that, Larry served as President of Winchester Homes from 2003 to 2008. Before joining Winchester Homes, he was a real estate consultant and developer.  

Through their donor advised fund, Larry and his wife, Dawne, support many regional and local organizations with an emphasis on immigrant assimilation, affordable housing, education and college scholarships, Anne Arundel County arts, Boys and Girls Clubs, shelters, and food banks.

Larry received his BA in Urban Studies from Rutgers University, his Master’s in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business. He is also the author of “Growth Management: Issues, Techniques and Policy Implications,” published by the Center for Urban Policy Research, Rutgers University.

Larry and Dawne lived in Anne Arundel County for 22 years; then his job took them to Seattle until retirement in 2013. They now reside in Eastport and enjoy spending time with family, traveling, boating, and sponsoring Naval Academy Midshipmen.
