Kathy holds a B.S. in Accounting from the Robert H Smith School of Business, University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and has been a member of AICPA since 1993. Kathy has an extensive professional background including serving as the Senior Accountant for Cardoni and Waddell, LLC (Now Dembo Jones), as the Corporate Controller for Clinical Consulting Services, LLC, and most recently as the Finance Manager for TRACE International, Inc, supporting both the nonprofit and for-profit work of the organization since 2014.

Kathy’s previous public accounting work included preparation, review, and auditing financial statements as well as preparation of various types of tax returns including federal and state; corporate, partnership, and fiduciary. Her work with nonprofit and for-profit organizations included the leadership of finance department operations including supervising staff, setting goals and objectives, and providing strategic financial advice to organization leadership. Her experience also involved minimizing financial risks and assessing internal control policies and procedures, developing budgets and forecasts, and monitoring variances to adjust projections as required throughout the fiscal period.

Kathy has been a lifelong resident of Severna Park, Maryland. She has been married for 32 years and has three daughters. In her free time, she fosters kittens for Adoption Option, supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (a former board member), and is involved in her local church community.
