NEWS & EVENTS

The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County has just released its 2010 report "Poverty Amidst Plenty: The Two Faces of Anne Arundel County".  Prepared by Dr. Lester Salamon, director, Center for Civil Society Studies at Johns Hopkins University, in partnership with the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth and Families, the 40 page report concludes that surprisingly deep pockets of poverty are still widespread in our pleasant and affluent county. Nearly 150 community leaders gathered together on Wednesday May 19th at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts for the presentation of the new county-wide needs assessment.  Click here to access a copy of the report.

CFAAC is now accepting nominations for our 10th Annual Celebration of Philanthropy Luncheon to be held on Friday November 12th from 11-2 pm at the Doubletree Hotel in Annapolis.   Please download nomination forms for Philanthropist, Volunteer and Youth Philanthropist of the Year.

The mission of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) is to grow philanthropy and build community.  We foster greater giving and new philanthropy in our community to address the most pressing need today and in the future.

CFAAC is an independent, tax-exempt charity created by and for the people of Anne Arundel County.  We connect donors with the causes they care about.

Established in 1998, CFAAC provides scholarships and grants to nonprofit organizations across the county.  We are your center for charitable investment in your community.

You can use this website to find out how to become a donor and how easy it is to give through us, how attorneys and other professional advisors can help their clients by working with us, and how to apply for a grant or scholarship. Then we hope you will contact us.
