Save the Date for CFAAC's Annual Cruise for the Community on Friday August 28^th 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

To inform the funding community about the scale and scope of need among Central Marylanders, the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers (ABAG) has produced the Guide for Funding Basic Human Needs in a Challenging Economy, which focuses on eight areas critical to maintaining self sufficiency, which suffer during an economic downturn.

"Giving for Good: Great Collaborations for Good Causes"

Collaboration is a word we are hearing a lot lately in reference to nonprofits, and how they should operate to survive in these challenging economic times. Every time I hear someone suggest that nonprofits should collaborate, it gives me pause and prompts me to ask these questions...

The mission of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) is to improve the quality of life for all people in Anne Arundel County.

CFAAC is an independent, tax-exempt charity created by and for the people of Anne Arundel County. We connect donors with the causes they care about. Established in 1998, CFAAC provides scholarships and grants to nonprofit organizations across the county. We are your center for charitable investment in your community.

HELP OUR NEIGHBORS CAMPAIGN TO ASSIST NEEDY FAMILIES

Thanks to the generosity of our community our Help Our Neighbors campaign has granted more than $20,000 to local nonprofits and faith-based organizations, who in turn have provided emergency financial support to the neediest individuals, families and seniors in Anne Arundel County. For those of you who have supported our efforts - THANK YOU! The impact of many small gifts from the Help Our Neighbors Fund has been significant but we still need your help.

Due the worsening of the economic crisis, the needs have grown even more. Our neighbors, people who have never had to ask for help before, are in trouble and need assistance.
