Community Impact Speaker’s Series - A Conversation About The Anne Arundel County Community Plan

A Conversation About: The Anne Arundel County Community Plan

Presented by: Dr. Pamela Brown, Executive Director, Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth & Families

The Anne Arundel County Community Plan focuses on the geography of poverty in the Northern area of the County as revealed by multiple county-wide needs assessments with four population-specific data overlays: hungry children, children impacted by incarceration, disconnected youth, and homeless youth. The 3-year Community Plan is building on existing community-wide resources, creating critical systemic and structural changes including data sharing across agencies, and is using a high level focus on poverty reduction. The plan recognizes that every agency and every sector of our community plays a part in implementing the collective impact necessary to move children and families to self-sufficiency. From the County Executive to our youth, every one of us must play a part to move the needle for all county residents.
