Chaney Grants Application

The Chaney Impact Fund and Chaney Enterprises Fund are two distinct entities with their own committees, both accepting grant applications and awarding grants based upon a unique and independent set of criteria in support of non-profits. Please read the descriptions below carefully to ensure that your grant request fits within the granting parameters.


Supporting the community has been a core tenet of Chaney Enterprises since Eugene “Babe” Chaney formed the company in 1962. Frank Chaney and his brother Dicky formed the Eugene Chaney Foundation Ltd. In 1987 in honor of their father by supporting the communities where the company does business and where the Chaney families and company employees live.

Chaney Foundation grants will support the work of nonprofit organizations serving within the Chaney Enterprises service area. Visit to view a map of the service area.

Grants are given in the communities that align with the company’s market footprint and within the following priority giving areas:

  • Education & Workforce
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Arts & Culture
  • Safe Workplace

The 2021 Chaney Enterprises Foundation Fund grant application timeline has been updated as follows:

Cycle 1 – grant applications open from February 1 through March 31; awards made in May.  PLEASE NOTE: Cycle 1 is open to nonprofits located and serving populations primarily outside of Anne Arundel County.

Cycle 2 – grant applications open from July 1 through August 30; awards made in October

The vision for the Chaney Impact Fund is to “make the greatest sustainable impact we can in the communities in which we raise our families”. The mission of the Fund is to “nourish our community by supporting our youth as the foundation for building healthier neighborhoods, today and in the future”. The Chaney Impact Fund is not accepting grant applications in 2021.
